We’re thrilled to announce that Joe Morton (Scandal) and J. Smith-Cameron (Succession) have joined the cast of The Grapes of Wrath as joint narrators! They’ll both be standing on the shoulders of the great Jane Fonda, who served as Narrator for the original.

JOE MORTON
Emmy® Award-winning actor Joe Morton is best known for his dynamic role as Rowan / Eli Pope in Shonda Rhimes’ groundbreaking series SCANDAL. Other recent TV credits include, FOX’s OUR KIND OF PEOPLE, CBS’s GODFRIENDED ME, Netflix’s THE POLITICIAN, and Crackle’s INSIDE THE BLACK BOX.
In film, Morton is widely known as the mute alien in the title role of John Sayle’s THE BROTHER FROM ANOTHER PLANET, and as the ill-fated scientist in TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY. Other notable film credits include SPEED, OFMICE AND MEN, and Cyborg’s dad, Dr. Silas Stone, in BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN and Zack Snyder’s Cut of JUSTICE LEAGUE.
Morton made his Broadway debut in the Tony® Award-winning musical HAIR, followed by his starring role in RAISIIN, earning a Tony® nomination and Theatre World Award. Morton’s electrifying portrayal of comedian / civil rights activist, Dick Gregory, in TURN ME LOOSE, Off Broadway, earned him the prestigious Lucille Lortel Award, among many others, including the NAACP Theatre Lifetime Achievement Award.
J. Smith-Cameron
An award-winning stage, film, and television actress, J. recently completed an Emmy nominated run as ‘Gerri’ on the acclaimed HBO series, SUCCESSION, earning her a SAG Award for Outstanding Cast of a Drama Series. Additionally, she will recur on the third season of the hit HBO series, HACKS, premiering this spring. Other notable television credits include: RECTIFY, WACO: THE AFTERMATH, TRUE BLOOD and SEARCH PARTY. J. was last seen on stage in LOVE LETTERS opposite Victor Garber at the Irish Rep. Other Broadway/Off-Broadway credits include: OUR COUNTRY’S GOOD (Tony nom), SARAH, SARAH (Drama Desk nom), FUDDY MEERS (Outer Critics and Drama Desk noms), and AS BEES IN HONEY DROWN (Obie award). Recent film work includes: TURTLES ALL THE WAY DOWN, THE YEAR BETWEEN opposite Steve Buscemi, and VENGEANCE directed by B.J. Novak. Past credits: NANCY (Indie Spirit Nom) opposite Andrea Riseborough, CHRISTINE, and MARGARET written and directed by Kenneth Lonergan.
