Emily Madison

Emily Madison is a lecturer in the Core Curriculum at Columbia University, where she teaches the full-year Literature Humanities course. Emily graduated with her B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and received her Ph.D. in Theatre and Performance and M.F.A. in Dramaturgy from Columbia. She has also taught at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, SUNY Purchase, and Barnard College. Emily’s passion for choral music and musical theater was instilled by her father, a MasterVoices singer whose life was enriched by the organization. She lives on the Upper West Side with her family.
