St. John Passion Audience Sing-Along Practice Materials

MasterVoices is excited to invite our St. John Passion audience to take part in our unique performance* of Bach’s choral masterpiece at Carnegie Hall on February 9, 2017 at 7pm**.

We welcome you to come to Carnegie Hall prepared to sing-along with Bach’s chorales by utilizing the practice materials below.

MasterVoices is holding a group rehearsal with Artistic Director Ted Sperling for all February 9 ticket holders who are interested in rehearsing the chorales in advance.  This rehearsal will take place on Wednesday, February 8 from 6-8pm at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Manhattan (405 W 59th Street; entrance on 9th Avenue).  Please note that this rehearsal is with piano only — no soloists or orchestra will be present.

* Please note that MasterVoices is performing St. John Passion in a new, modern-day English translation written by Michael Slattery (who will sing the role of the Evangelist)

**If you have not yet purchased your concert tickets ($20-$130), you can do so by clicking here, calling CarnegieCharge (212-247-7800), or visiting the Carnegie Hall Box Office at 57th and Seventh.
