MasterVoices invites you to our Fall Gala and season opener, a star-studded presentation of the first musical to win the Pulitzer Prize: Of Thee I Sing.
Of Thee I Sing was the first American musical to take serious aim at politics and forever more it raised the bar for satire. For better or for worse, it makes us laugh as much today as it did when it first appeared in 1931.
Artistic Director Ted Sperling has put together a spectacular cast including Tony-nominated Broadway luminaries: Bryce Pinkham (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder), David Pittu (LoveMusik), Elizabeth Stanley (On the Town), and the industrious Richard Kind.
The evening will begin at 6pm with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in Carnegie Hall’s Rose Museum, followed by a 7pm performance. A festive gala dinner with the artists will be served in the Rohatyn Room immediately after the final bows. For her many years of generous support, we will be recognizing soprano Roxanne Brandt. Without her we could not have become the organization we are today.
Tickets offered at $1,000, $1,500 and $2,500.
Tables at $10,000, $15,000 and $25,000.
*$275/$2,750 of each ticket/table is non-tax deductible.
Gala Co-Chairs: Susan Baker and Michael Lynch, Roxanne Brandt, Matthew Hoffman and Donald Crawshaw, Ellen F. Marcus, Richard and Carol Miller and the Lee Thaw Charitable Trust, and Bruce Patrick.
